Our mission

Grand Union Community Energy (GUCE) is a community benefit society, established.

It is clear that everyone – not just governments and corporates but households and communities too – everyone has a role to play. And that is why GUCE exists.

Who we are

Grand Union Community Energy is a Community Benefit Society (registration no. 32056R) whose purpose is to improve local community resilience in the face of increasing energy costs and climate change.

Investments

GUCE’s financial model allows us to reward our shareholders with around 3% interest a year, redeem shareholdings at a proportionate rate to our asset value each year, retain cash to provide for future expenses and liabilities, and allocate the remainder to our Community Fund for projects which which help improve local community resilience in the face of increasing energy costs and climate change.
