Spend Less Save More – Free Workshops
Looking for practical ways to cut your household bills and make your money go further? Our Spend Less, Save More workshops are here to help.
Delivered at easy to reach local community centres, these free sessions bring people together to learn simple, effective ways to save money at home — while also supporting a more sustainable lifestyle.
What you’ll learn
Across six friendly, interactive sessions, you’ll explore ways to reduce costs in everyday life, including:
- Energy – lower your usage and save on bills
- Food – waste less and spend smarter
- Water – simple changes that cut costs
- Waste – reduce, reuse, and save
- Travel – cheaper, greener ways to get around
- Nature at home – bring more wildlife into your garden while improving your wellbeing
Each session is full of practical tips, real-life advice, and easy actions you can start straight away.
Learn together, share ideas
These workshops are as much about community as they are about saving money. You’ll have the chance to:
- Share your own tips and experiences
- Learn from others in your area
- Ask questions in a relaxed, supportive space
No prior knowledge is needed — just bring yourself and a willingness to get involved.
A special bonus
Attend five out of the six sessions and you’ll receive free thermal images of your home and a 1 on 1 session with one of GUCE’s trained and experienced Energy Champions.
These images show where heat may be escaping, helping you understand:
- Where you’re losing energy
- How to improve insulation
- What steps could reduce your heating bills
It’s a powerful way to see your home differently — and make informed improvements.
Who can attend?
These workshops are completely free for local residents and open to anyone who wants to:
- Save money on everyday costs
- Make their home more energy-efficient
- Live more sustainably
